Fly-in Acres Arnold
While many communities have fanciful stories of their beginnings, Fly-In Acres Homeowners Association, established in the 1950's may have them all beat. This was the very first home owners association to be incorporated in the State of California. A small community of 160 parcels, originally named by the nature of what it was; a place where people could fly their planes to their vacation homes, you will still see memorials to that history by way of the airplane street names. However, that final plan never did come to fruition and the Sequoia Woods Country Club golf course is now where the landing strip once was. This community has larger than average sized lots, making it a very desirable community.
